ArPa 2024: Art fair brings together galleries in Pacaembu; find out how to participate

The third edition of the event will inaugurate the Mercado Pago Hall at Mercado Livre Arena Pacaembu, a place where Roberto Carlos' show could not take place in April
The Art Fair (ArPa) 2024 begins this Wednesday, 26th. The third edition of the event, which runs until June 30th, will inaugurate the Mercado Pago Hall of the Mercado Livre Arena Pacaembu, built inside the stadium that passes for reform. The venue was the stage for a canceled Roberto Carlos show in April this year due to security problems.

ArPa will be divided into five sectors. The Base Sector was designed by researcher and cultural journalist Ana Carolina Ralston, with the collective exhibition Every Living Being is the Land of Others. It will house works by 20 artists with the aim of reflecting on the relationship between the body and the environment. Tickets cost R$60.

Setor Uni, led by Germano Dushá in collaboration with Benedicta M. Badia, will bring together nine galleries in seven projects, with artists from Latin America and the Caribbean who explore the mystery of life through different means.

The Satellite Sector, curated by Raphael Fonseca, is dedicated to the production of audiovisual art, and is presented through a large LED projection. The Art in Field Sector will have sculptures, installations and large-scale works.

Finally, the Main Sector will bring together 40 national and international contemporary art galleries, including Albuquerque Contemporânea, with works by Rochelle Costi; Galeria Leme with Ana Elisa Egreja; Gomide&Co, with Nilda Neves; Fortes D'Aloia & Gabriel, with Luiz Zerbini and Sara Ramo; Simões de Assis, with Diambe and Samuel Sarmiento.

ArPa will also promote conversation circles that will address topics such as the Venice Biennale and art as a social project.

Made occurs with parallel programming
For the third consecutive year, Made - Mercado, Arte e Design, will take place in parallel to ArPa, between the 27th and 30th of June. This year, 75 studios from different regions of the country will participate in the exhibition, which is focused on collecting. They will present new pieces of furniture, objects and lighting,

This 12th edition of Made will have the theme of Design in Movement. The scenography will be designed by Bruno Simões, who is also the event's curator alongside founding partner Waldick Jatobá.

Made will take place at the Pacaembu tennis court, which is undergoing renovation, as is the entire stadium. The ticket to ArPa entitles you to visit Made.
