CNBB Liturgical Space Sector in partnership with ASLI promotes the 14th National Meeting of Architecture and Sacred Art
From October 2nd to 6th, Brasília (DF) hosts the 14th National Meeting of Architecture and Sacred Art. The theme of the meeting is: “60 years of Sacrosanctum Concilium in the light of Desiderio Desideavi”, it is promoted by the Episcopal Pastoral Commission for the Liturgy of the National Conference of Bishops of Brazil (CNBB) through the Liturgical Space Sector, in partnership with the Association of Liturgists of Brazil (ASLI), at Casa de Encontros Dom Luciano Mendes de Almeida (SGAN 905 Conjunto C, Asa Norte).
The objective of the action, according to one of the organizers, Father Father Thiago Faccini, is to promote an academic and interdisciplinary debate on the dignity of celebration spaces, as well as the importance of preserving the Church's artistic and cultural heritage. The meetings thus encourage the exchange of experiences and training.
Lecturers
The meeting's main speakers are: Dom Jeronimo Pereira, Benedictine monk from the Monastery of São Bento de Olinda (PE). He has a doctorate in Sacred Liturgy and professor of liturgy at the Institute of Pastoral Liturgy of Santa Justina de Pádua, the Pontifical Liturgical Institute of Rome (Santo Anselmo) – Italy and the Catholic University of Pernambuco (UNICAP). He is also president of ASLI – Association of Liturgists of Brazil and member of the Dom Clemente Isnard Liturgy Center.
The other is Father Gustavo Hass from the clergy of the archdiocese of Porto Alegre. He has a master's degree in Liturgy and is a professor and coordinator of the Theology Course at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS). Member of the doctrine of faith commission – National Conference of Bishops of Brazil and ASLI – Association of Liturgists of Brazil and expert on the liturgy commission of the Latin American Episcopal Commission (CELAM).
Participants
Participating in the meeting are students, teachers, architecture, engineering and arts professionals, priests, deacons, seminarians, religious, members of the economic and administration councils of parishes and sanctuaries, liturgy teams and lay people. Also part of the meeting's target audience are those involved both directly and indirectly in constructions, renovations and decorations of churches and who wish to deepen the relationship between liturgy, architecture and art, such as decorators, organizers of the celebratory space for weddings and graduations and technicians. sound and lighting.
Participants of the 14th ENAAS will carry out scientific communications, distributed across three axes: Theology of Sacred Space, Architecture and Liturgical Space and Heritage and Sacred Art.
5th Architecture and Sacred Art Exhibition
The CNBB Liturgical Space Sector, with the purpose of presenting, discussing and publicizing experiences linked to architecture and sacred art, promotes the V Exhibition of Architecture and Sacred Art, which takes place during the 14th ENAAS. The Exhibition aims to exchange experiences between the participants of the Meeting and debate on the development of architectural projects that favor the liturgy and are the result of the experience of the communities in which they are located.
