Cubadisco 2024 presentations begin to the rhythm of good music

With a panel tribute to the 60 years of the Original Orchestra of Manzanillo and its director Wilfredo Pachy Naranjo, in the Cuba Pavilion, in this capital, the previous activities of Cubadisco 2024 will begin today.

The conversation will take place at 2:00 p.m., local time, in the May Hall of that exhibition venue, and at 6:00 p.m. the popular group from the eastern province of Granma will offer a concert on the central stage of Havana's La Rampa.

The Septeto Agranel, winner of the Ignacio Villa 2023 scholarship, will also perform at the venue at 4:00 p.m.

At that same time, at the Museum of Decorative Arts, Cubadisco recommends the recital of the instrumentalists Luis Manuel Molina, Nova Corda and Síntese (Portugal), while in the Argeliers León room, at the headquarters of the Cuban Institute of Music, he will be at the piano the renowned jazz player Ernán López-Nussa.

Until May 19, the 27th edition of the Cubadisco International Music Industry Fair will be dedicated to rural music and the guest country of honor is Colombia.

The event will be graced with notable Cuban artists and others from more than nine nations, including Germany, France, Portugal, Brazil, Hungary, Spain, Argentina and Mexico, which doubles the attendance figure from the previous year.

The inaugural symphonic gala of the event will be this Sunday in the Covarrubias room of the National Theater of Cuba, at 11:00, local time, and the Cuba-Colombia show is scheduled for May 16, in the Avellaneda room, of said facility.
