The exhibition “Buraco no Céu”, by visual artist Túlio Pinto, promoted by the Oscar Niemeyer Museum (MON) in the Olho space, can be seen until October 22nd. For those who want to take a little of the exhibition home, the catalog is now available at MON Loja.

The exhibition brings together 33 sculptures and installations, some large, that explore the power of the three-dimensional. Curated by Roberta Stubs, it is an unusual dialogue between materials of different valences. Marble and steel are side by side, iron beams seem to float and coexist with sheets of glass, in an almost poetic construction.

Disparate elements build, among themselves, a certain complicity that is surprising due to the tense alliance established between dissonant natures such as stone, iron, glass, air, marble and the body. Skilled in creating almost architectural structures, the artist establishes fields of tension that call the categories of order and functionality into question.
