Art, creativity and fun: MON announces July holiday schedule
For two weeks, the Oscar Niemeyer Museum will offer a special holiday program full of art, culture and creativity. There will be several workshops and mediations for children, teenagers and their families. Activities begin on the 9th.
The actions will be carried out in the Workshop Space, in exhibition rooms and in the external area of the MON, promoting opportunities for new individual and collective experiences with the museum space and with art.
With the intention of creating an environment of interaction between children and their families, participants under 14 must be accompanied by a responsible adult throughout the activity.
There will be three programming formats: workshops (closed classes and with participation subject to prior registration), mediated visits (open to the public at the indicated times, subject to capacity) and Creation Workshops (open to the public at the indicated times, subject to capacity).
To participate in the workshops, you must purchase tickets in advance on the museum's website, selecting one ticket for the child and one for the accompanying adult in the desired activity. The ticket price is the same as access to MON: R$30 (full price), R$15 (half price) and free for children up to 12 years old and over 60 years old. Places are limited.
For mediated visits, which will always take place at 11am, it is necessary to buy the museum access ticket directly at the box office on the day of the action and go to the indicated meeting point. The activity is subject to space capacity.
The Creation Workshops will always be held on Wednesdays, when entry to the museum is free. Simply collect your ticket at the MON box office and go to the Workshop Space. The workshops will be subject to space capacity and participants will be admitted on a first-come, first-served basis.
RECOMMENDATIONS – During the holiday period, the museum has a greater flow of visitors on Wednesdays. It is necessary to consider the opening hours of the Creation Workshops, taking into account that there may be queues to enter the MON and to access the activity in the workshop.
There will be a preferential queue for people with disabilities, autistic people, people aged 60 (sixty) years or over, pregnant women, breastfeeding women, people with infants, obese people, people with reduced mobility and blood donors.
The activities were designed for specific age groups, therefore, whenever there is an age indication, it must be respected.
In the Creation Studio, the Workshop Space serves 60 people simultaneously and the rotation of participants is on a first-come, first-served basis. Waiting time can vary from 10 to 40 minutes. Access is permitted until 3:30 pm.
