This year, the festival will take place from March 6 to 9, as well as on March 15 and 21, at the Cineteca Nuevo León Alejandra Rangel Hinojosa and the Colegio Civil Centro Cultural Universitario.
Monterrey, Nuevo León.- Monterrey, Nuevo León.- From the Cineteca Nuevo León Alejandra Rangel Hinojosa, in a face-to-face and virtual meeting with the media, Ricardo Marcos, Technical Secretary of the Council for Culture and the Arts of Nuevo León (CONARTE) together with Allyson Treviño, Senior Manager of Community Relations, as well as the participation of José Javier Villarreal, Secretary of Extension and Culture of the Autonomous University of Nuevo León (UANL) and Damián Cano, Coordinator of the Latin American Film Festival, detailed the preparations for the event. They highlighted that the festival is renewing its image, but it maintains its purpose of reaching out to the general public to promote a film experience that is both a visual dialogue and a community experience with the best of the seventh art in the region.
The Latin American Film Festival brings to Mexico the most outstanding films produced in Latin America, presenting a mosaic of visions that promote a common identity. This year, the festival will take place from March 6 to 9, as well as March 15 and 21, in venues that are already a tradition, such as the Cineteca de Nuevo León Alejandra Rangel Hinojosa and the Colegio Civil Centro Cultural Universitario, of the UANL.
Ricardo Marcos, Technical Secretary of CONARTE, celebrated the selection of cinematographic proposals that make up this edition of the festival: “The Latin American Film Festival has a fresh proposal, it is the most important film event that we have at the beginning of the year, without a doubt, and this has allowed us to generate a captive audience that is waiting for this moment to begin the entire cycle of great cinematographic experiences that we have,” he said.
Likewise, the Festival will also be held near the Ternium communities in San Nicolás de los Garza, at the Teatro Nova, as well as in Pesquería, at the Sports Unit of the Pesquería Center.
The Latin American Film Festival is a collaboration between the Proa Foundation and Ternium, with the support of CONARTE, reflecting the ongoing commitment to promoting culture and the arts.
