Cali writers Natalia and Juliana Vélez have spread their love for Colombian letters and art around the world, becoming prominent cultural ambassadors in French lands, a country where they founded their own publishing house, El Círculo, which is dedicated to promoting and supporting the Colombian and Latin American talent in France.
These sisters were introduced to the world of literature and the arts naturally, their father was a painter and studied with the masters Santiago and Juan Cárdenas. This early exposure to culture left an indelible mark on them and sowed the seed of their future dedication to literature and the arts.
Last week, one of the Vélez sisters, Natalia, was on a route through Valle del Cauca, to strengthen relationships with cultural institutions such as the Rayo Museum, in Roldanillo, and to participate in conversations, in Cali, on how to support the Colombian talents, so that they become part of a larger artistic network and their talent can be made known around the world.
