Material Art Fair 2025

Conversations at the Tamayo, performance at the Museo El Eco, and lots of art and experts at the Material Art Fair 2025.

The Material Fair returns for its eleventh edition from February 6 to 9, 2025 at Expo Reforma. This event has become an annual gathering that has established itself as one of our favorite Art Week Fairs in Mexico City. Artists, curators, collectors and art lovers from around the world gathered in Juárez. We tell you the details.
What is the Material Fair and why is it important?

Material seeks to be more than an art fair; it is on its way to being a space for cultural and commercial exchange. That you meet people who love art as much as you do. In addition, unlike other fairs, it has stood out for its efforts with emerging galleries and rising artists.

This year's edition will feature 72 exhibitors from 20 countries and 35 cities. Of these, 56% of the exhibitors are from Latin America. There will be 24 new exhibitors joining this year, offering an opportunity to discover fresh voices and innovative projects. If you want to find out what's happening with art in the region, this is where you'll find the answers.
What will be at the Material Fair 2025?

Two floors of exhibitions: A careful selection of galleries and contemporary art projects that represent what is being done in Latam. From February 6 to 9.

Material Monday (February 3): A circuit of 12 local galleries that will open their doors simultaneously from 4 to 8pm with special exhibitions. Transportation service will be provided.

IMMATERIAL Performance Program: Highlighting the presentation of Angela Goh with her work Body Loss at the Museo Experimental el Eco. The presentations will be on Thursday, February 6 at 8pm and on Sunday, February 9 at 12pm.

International Visitors Program (IVP) Forum: A series of talks with curators and experts at the Museo Tamayo.

Projects, Generation 2023–25: Five emerging organizations from Mexico, such as Aberrante (Morelia) and Azul Arena (Ciudad Juárez), will present their proposals with the support of mentors and specialized workshops.

Feria Material will not only offer access to the best contemporary art on the continent, but it fosters an environment to create connections and, above all, enjoy art. Whether you are a seasoned collector or a curious visitor, there will be much more to do and its program at public museums in the city, such as El Eco or El Tamayo, only make art even more accessible to everyone.
