The specialized photography fair in Latin America

Pinta BAphoto closed its 19th edition in La Rural, Buenos Aires, Argentina. The fair specialized in photography – a unique format in Latin America – brought together artists, gallery owners, collectors and art lovers to explore the best of contemporary photography.

The fair was curated by Irene Gelfman, Bárbara Golubicki, Francisco Medail, Vero Santalla, María A. Iovino Moscarella and Estefanía Papescu. In turn, he had Rosario Villani and Vanesa Castellani as guides on the Guided Tours circuit of the fair.
This great 2023 edition had the usual sections: Main Section, Out of Focus, Tribute Artist, Wunderkammer and Video Project; but it presented new galleries, spaces and proposals to explore other facets and expressions of photography, such as Symmetry Domestic, a publisher of artists' books and the Special Projects of Adriana Lestido (Galería Rolf Art) and Andrés Ramírez Gavira (Galería Vermelho).
In addition, a great milestone of the fair was the Auditorium 2023 cycle, with talks, interviews and presentations of artists' books, bringing together important references in Latin American photography. These meetings established a journey between the history and future of photography, with dialogues about artificial intelligence, collecting and the country's visual memory. The tribute to Boleslaw Senderowicz was presented and books by various photographers were shared with the public.
