The Bumanguesa artist Beatriz González, who is also a researcher, historian, curator, art critic and teacher, is a keen observer of her environment and with her own style, which includes a dose of irony, she has known how to represent it.
Her work is composed, mostly, of paintings in different formats and on various materials, but also of engravings, drawings and installations that have “The Colombian” as their protagonist, with all the complexities and contradictions that this term includes.
Throughout her career, Beatriz González has made visible the mistakes of the political class, the multiple characteristics of popular culture, the taste of the people and, with deep empathy and respect for the victims, the atrocities of the armed conflict, the natural disasters and the humanitarian crisis that Venezuelans are experiencing.
This exhibition will be available starting October 1, along with different Latin American collections every two months, until the end of 2024. Don't miss it!
