Rosario Latin American Film Festival: More than 700 Productions Submitted
The seventh art will have a special place at the 30th Rosario Latin American Film Festival, which will take place from June 5 to 15 in various cultural venues throughout the city. The initiative, led by the Municipality of Rosario in conjunction with the Cine Lumière Cultural Center through Punto Audiovisual, attracted a wide audience, with 722 films submitted and competing in four categories.
The call for submissions ran from January to March of this year and included the submission of 201 feature films and 521 short films from 17 Latin American countries. Productions were also received from filmmakers from Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, Haiti, Honduras, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, the Dominican Republic, Uruguay, and Venezuela.
The jury is already working on screening the material to select the premiere films that will be part of the Festival program and will participate in four categories: Feature Film Competition, Santa Fe Feature Film Competition, Short Film Competition, and Rosario Short Film Competition.
This edition, in which the festival celebrates its 30th anniversary, joins the celebration of the 300th anniversary of the city of Rosario and offers 10 days of encounters between audiences, actresses, actors, directors, and producers, with training spaces, competitions, panel discussions, and the best Latin American films.

The Municipality of Rosario supports and promotes the city's audiovisual industry, investing in the development of local cinema and productions. The Rosario Latin American Film Festival is an annual event that has been held since 1993; The most important and long-standing film festival in the region, its main objective is to promote the dissemination of Latin American cinema, foster local production, and generate new audiences.
In addition to screenings of competing films, it offers guest films and a wide variety of activities, such as masterclasses, debates, conferences, and special screenings. It is a meeting place for the general public, students, and representatives of the audiovisual industry.

This project is promoted by the Rosario Municipality's Department of Culture, which aims to provide the city with a new comprehensive space dedicated to film culture to enhance educational, enjoyment, production, and meeting experiences for all citizens through cinema.
