Uniendo Discapacidades con Amor A. C., invites girls, boys, adolescents and young people from Latin America to participate in the drawing, poster and literary expression contest leading up to the seventh Festival of Art, Inclusion and Culture for Peace 2025.
María Moreno Padilla, coordinator of the festival, reported that from November 4 to December 20, the works will be received on the Uniendo Discapacidades con Amor page, and people from 4 to 18 years of age can participate.
The topic to be addressed is inclusion based on six axes, among which the following stand out: social inclusion, cultural diversity, disability, gender equality, respect and tolerance, and sexual diversity.
She commented that the works received in literary expression will be compiled in a book under the seal of the Rey Chanate Publishing House; in addition, a catalog of pictorial works will be published, taking into account the good response of drawings sent by children, surpassing more than 250 pieces sent to the contest.
For analysis purposes, it is important to safeguard these very interesting works
This broadcast, the festival to be held in February 2025, will be international by collaborating with the Network for the Exchange of Pedagogical Experiences, which allows for hybrid activities in Colombia, the Dominican Republic and Peru, to have a social imaginary about inclusion in a broader way not only in Zacatecas, but in Latin America.
María Padilla highlighted that an important program is already being prepared that will cover municipalities such as Guadalupe, Fresnillo, Apozol, Miguel Auza, Juan Aldama, Zacatecas and Río Grande in person.
The objective -he commented- is for the festival to return to its origins and to spread the word about how it was born and how it is growing, by consolidating itself at a state level and with an excellent response from the public.
