“Solón, Andean neohumanism" is a retrospective of the work of the immortal Potosí muralist Walter Solón Romero (1923-1999), which will be presented at the National Museum of Art until January 20, 2024.

The exhibition of the “painter of the revolution” is part of the celebration of the 100 years of the birth of the Potosí artist Wálter Solón Romero, one of the most prominent exponents of Bolivian plastic arts of the 20th century.
“Solón, Andean neohumanism” is exhibited in the Díez de Medina and the Previa rooms of the national repository.

Walter Solón Romero was born in Uyuni on November 8, 1923 and died in Lima, Peru, on July 27, 1999.
He was a prominent Bolivian muralist and painter, one of the most important representatives of contemporary Bolivian painting, in addition to being a weaver, engraver, carver and draftsman.
