Fourth edition of FIARTE, International Art Fair, arrives at Blue Mall Punta Cana

EL NUEVO DIARIO, SANTO DOMINGO.- From October 10 to 13, 2024, the Dominican Republic is preparing for an unprecedented artistic experience. BlueMall Puntacana will become the epicenter of art and culture with the 4th edition of the International Art Fair (FIARTE), says a note sent to El Nuevo Diario.
This new installment promises to be a celebration of artistic talent in a setting that combines natural beauty with human creativity.
After its first editions in the city of Santo Domingo, first at the National Palace of Fine Arts (2009), at the Port of Sans Souci (2010), at the Hostal Hodelpa Nicolás de Ovando, the Capilla de los Remedios and the Museum of the Royal Houses (2015), FIARTE is proud to bring its renowned fair to BlueMall Puntacana.

Visitors will have a unique experience within the framework of the XXXVI Commercial Exhibition of ASONAHORES (Association of Hotels and Tourism of the Dominican Republic). This parallel event guarantees an unparalleled influx of visitors, enhancing the visibility and impact of the works on display.

The focus for this year is clear: to promote cultural tourism. The Dominican Republic is much more than its impressive beaches and landscapes; it is a melting pot of history, culture and creativity.

FIARTE 2024 will aim to promote visual arts in general, especially sculptural art, with more than 20 three-dimensional works of various materials and formats, providing a platform for recognition for participating artists.
Since its inception, the fair has left its mark on the international art scene. The exhibitions have been documented in prestigious art books, presenting works by masters such as Iván Tovar, Justo Susana, Teté Marella and Clara Ledesma, as well as books based on collections such as: “Realismo y Arte Figurativo Latinoamericano”, Volume I (2002) and “Caribe y Centroamerica”, Volume II (2004). This year, the event's directors will continue the tradition, ensuring that each piece on display is immortalized for future generations in a memorable, carefully edited catalogue book.

FIARTE reaches the public under the general production of Dr. Francisco Nader, who comes from a family with more than 45 years of experience in promoting Dominican and Latin American art, through participation in auctions, exhibitions and art fairs that have been a fundamental pillar for the positioning of numerous artists worldwide.

Organizing a fair of this magnitude requires absolute commitment. Among the event's collaborators are Ruth Brindis, who is in charge of all the event's logistics, the art critic and curator Abil Peralta Agüero, the art historian Lilian Carrasco, the multifaceted artist, writer and composer Oscar Camino Mendoza, the editor Camilo Paredes, the designer Jezer Cárdenas and other anonymous collaborators who are focused on generating a fair that not only meets, but exceeds the expectations of artists, collectors, decorators, architects, art dealers, art critics, dilettantes and the general public.
They hope that every person who has the opportunity to participate will feel inspired and amazed by the quality and diversity of the art presented.
