Painting, graphics, mixed media, digital art, sculpture and photography intermingle in the Color Senses Project gallery, in Allapattah
MIAMI.- This Friday, December 22, the closing event of an art exhibition organized within Miami Art Week was held at Color Senses Project, Allapattah. The exhibition, inaugurated on December 3, includes works by artists of various nationalities.
Painting, graphics, mixed media, digital art, sculpture and photography intermingle in the same space, where they coexist and dialogue through bold colors and curious temporal fusions that invite the viewer to ask themselves questions.
International art
The artists whose works are part of the exhibition are from countries such as the United States, Brazil, France, Cuba, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Spain and others.
Christine Drummond, Anna Dianova, Evelyn Valdirio, Babilonia, Kevin B Casas, Darío Posada, Marggie Haza, Jamir Guiza, Shakhnabat, Maria Bogacheva, Kira Mofa Sargon, Biser Mironov, Francisco Ceron, Romina Graziani, and Yevhenii Sonev provide a polysemic range of color and shape, and even sound, in the case of the piece by artist Kevin B Casas.
Daria Rusakova, curator of the exhibition, highlighted the importance of presenting these artists in the last month of the year, when numerous fairs are held that attract art lovers from all over the world.
As she told DIARIO LAS AMÉRICAS, "the exhibition is dedicated to Miami Art Week, Art Basel, which barely ended, because the month of December here in Miami is very important."
Rusakova is the creator of Art Estate magazine, which brings together information about artists, curators and galleries. Additionally, the magazine highlights profiles and interviews about artists' work.
With the help of technology and augmented reality, Kevin B Casas relied on several recognized phrases within the thought of Socrates, such as "know thyself." When the viewer approaches his piece, and follows the QR code link, by directing the phone camera towards the painting, the philosopher's face is animated on the cell phone screen, saying one of his most famous phrases. .
"My idea is that Western culture lies forgotten under an avalanche of nonsense basically built by the left. What I try to do is recover a little of the basic foundations of Western culture, and show them in a way that seems entertaining and modern to today's eye" , Casas pointed out.
For his part, Jamir Guiza pointed out that "the most important thing about this exhibition is sharing with artists, with very sensitive people." Regarding his abstract work, part of the "Orb" series, he explained that "it is totally emotional."
Darío Posada turned to self-portraits as a way to alter time and his characters. With his pieces from the "Illogical Compositions" collection he seeks to shake up the timeline and history. "I bring together characters that are not historically compatible, they are stories that never happened," he said.
