Pinta launches the first edition of Panama Art Week in 2025

Pinta, the leading platform for promoting Latin American art, announces the launch of the first edition of Pinta Panama Art Week, which will be held from May 21 to 25, 2025. This new event aims to promote the integration of the art scene, strengthen best practices within the sector and consolidate Panama as a cultural hub in the region.

A week full of art and culture

Pinta Panama Art Week will offer a carefully curated program that will include activities on both online and physical platforms. Among the proposals are:

- Visits to artists' studios: An intimate approach to the creative process of local and international artists.

- Art exhibitions: Shows in galleries, museums and cultural spaces that will highlight the best of contemporary art.

- Talks and conferences: Dialogues with curators, museum directors and experts in the sector.

- Guided tours: Tours of galleries and museums, led by leading art professionals.

In addition, the event will highlight Panama's cultural heritage, offering invited participants the opportunity to explore the city's iconic landmarks and enjoy its must-see culinary offering.

Top-level curation

The curatorial direction of this first edition will be in charge of Irene Gelfman, Global Pinta Curator, together with Emilio Valdés, General Curator of Pinta Panama Art Week. Both curators will work to guarantee a high-quality artistic and cultural experience, reflecting the diversity and richness of Latin American art.

Pinta's impact on the art world

Pinta has established itself as one of the most important platforms for Latin American art, connecting artists, galleries, collectors and art enthusiasts on a global level. In 2024, its fairs—Pinta Lima, Pinta BAphoto, Pinta Miami, and Pinta Asunción Art Week—attracted more than 52,000 visitors and brought together 162 galleries from 43 cities.
