Major fairs around the world in 2025

What's in store for the world of art in 2025?

Let's take a look at the exhibitions already announced for this year

Hello! How are you? How about we talk a little about this year's exhibition schedule? The art market promises a lot of interesting things in 2025 and today I'll tell you about the main events that will take place around the world. Come with me!

Just like every year, art in 2025 brings a calendar full of major fairs around the world. In March, two of the main ones on the world circuit will take place: TEFAF Maastricht, in the Netherlands (March 20 to March 30), and the renowned Art Basel, in its Hong Kong edition (March 28 to March 30). Here in Brazil, there's an exhibition that I'm dying to see! It's the Renoir show at MASP, which starts on the 28th in the museum's second building, the Pietro Maria Bardi Building.

In April, São Paulo will open its doors to SP-Arte 2025, the main art fair in Latin America, at the Bienal Pavilion in Ibirapuera Park. The event brings together hundreds of exhibitors annually for four days. It is a must-see! Also in April, Expo Chicago will bring together renowned galleries, emerging and established artists, as well as collectors and art enthusiasts from all over the world. The Swiss edition of Art Basel will take place in June.

Straying a little from the fair circuit, here are three exhibitions that I would really like to see this year: the Lygia Clark retrospective, which will take place in May in Berlin; the exhibition "The Ecology of Monet" at MASP in August; and the incredible Warhol and Pollock exhibition in October in Madrid. What a dream! Here's a tip for anyone traveling to any of these destinations this year.

The grand Art Basel Miami will close out 2025 with the best of world art, as we are accustomed to. But of course this is just a taste of everything that will be happening in Brazil and around the world in terms of exhibitions and artistic events. I found this year's calendar of exhibitions and fairs on the website Arte Que Acontece. It's worth taking a look! Now it's time to choose which ones to go to and follow the others from afar, always breathing in art. I love it!
