Latin American Theatre Festival: the New Tinku Theatre invites
It is organized with the support of the Buenos Aires Cultural Institute and the Festival Cooking Program. Participating are casts from Mexico (Grupo Smile), Chile (Fundación Calibrarte), San Miguel (Grupo las Ollas), Escobar Grupo Merika) and the CABA (Nada ha Cambiado). There will be performances today Saturday and tomorrow Sunday. The stage will be at the New Tinku Theatre, Las Heras 1746, Carupá, in San Fernando.



With casts from Chile and Mexico but also from the region -such as Escobar, San Miguel and the CABA- on the stage of the New Tinku Theatre (Las Heras 1746, Carupá), the Latin American Theatre Festival begins today Saturday 19th in San Fernando. The Buenos Aires Festival Cooking Program also supports it.

There will be three performances today and two tomorrow Sunday 20th. Regarding the New Tinku Theatre, the actor and director, Jorge Córdoba, reported that the Buenos Aires program is part of the Cultural Institute of the province. “They support the different independent festivals in the province. They help you specifically to “cook” the festivals,” he said.



In this case, the organizers reported, they supported with resources and dissemination so that the Latin American Festival reaches the northern zone. Thus, the first performance will be today, Saturday 19, at 7 p.m., by Grupo Smile, from Mexico, with the play “El amor no duele.” Then, at 8:30 p.m., Grupo Las Ollas, from San Miguel, will perform Las Criadas.

The closing of the first day will be, at 10 p.m., with Grupo Nada ha Cambiado, from CABA, with the play Palabras Andantes. The Nuevo Tinku Teatro is a collective experience of actresses and actors from San Fernando and the region. One of its most valued plays is undoubtedly Las Obreras de Carupá, directed by Córdoba.

The Festival continues tomorrow, Sunday 20th. At 7:30 pm, the Merika Group, from Escobar, will perform: El Hueco, directed by Alejandra Calvert de Bohun. Then at 9 pm, the closing performance will be F. G. Lorca 1936, performed by the cast of the Fundación Calibrarte, from Chile. The plays on both days are “free to play”.
