Latin America's largest urban design festival reaches its 14th edition with record attendance of 100,000 visitors expected by March 16
Starting this Monday (10) until March 16, the capital of São Paulo will become a stage for celebrating design by hosting the 14th DW! São Paulo Design Week. The event, recognized as the largest urban design festival in Latin America and the third largest in the world in the sector, will bring together more than 125 exhibitors and a thousand creatives in around 300 activities. The expectation is to attract a record audience of over 100,000 visitors in the eight districts spread across the city.
Created in 2012 by businessman Lauro Andrade, DW! aims to boost the design industry and serve as a connection platform for professionals in the sector. In 2025, the curatorship will be signed by the journalist specialized in architecture and design, Lúcia Gurovitz.
“Our festival has always aimed to integrate the creative and productive worlds. Brazil is a creative powerhouse, from north to south of the country, with incredible entrepreneurs and creatives like nowhere else in the world”, Andrade praises.
Over seven days, the 14th DW! São Paulo Design Week will include fairs, installations, lectures and more. Here are some highlights of the program:
In the Alameda Gabriel District, Casa Docol will once again be the DW! SP HQ and the stage for DW! Talks, which this edition will have the theme Hands and Machines, addressing the intersections between manual, industrial and artificial processes in design.
In the central region, Galeria Metrópole will host the Senac Content Arena, with lectures on architecture and interior design, in addition to the Design na Metrópole and Um Lugar exhibitions, the latter dedicated to contemporary chairs. The venue will also host the Jardim Secreto Fair, focused on upcycling, and activities by Casa Baru, which will bring together more than 50 creatives from all over Brazil.
Another highlight of DW! SP 2025 is BOOMSPDESIGN, which will be held at the Circolo Italiano, paying homage to designer Antonio Aricò and promoting the Design 2X2 exhibition, with 16 studios and creatives. LinBrasil, the publisher of Sergio Rodrigues' furniture, will make its debut at the event with a chat with Gisèle Schwartsburd, CEO of the brand.
In the Pinheiros, Vila Madalena and Oeste districts, Galeria Alma da Rua will host the Caminhos Pretos exhibition, curated by architect and designer Michele Wharton. On Rua Cônego Eugênio Leite, the exhibition Impermanence: The Essence of Change will bring together works by 20 designers in semi-detached houses from the 1940s.
JADERALMEIDA will have a Showhouse at the United Nations Pavilion, bringing together over 2,000 iconic items from collections and new pieces by the designer from Santa Catarina in 3,000 square meters. The space will be open until April 3.
Etel is showing Tribute: Architecture as a form of dialogue, an exhibition in collaboration with the Italian firm Archea Associati, while Ornare is holding chats on the theme of Creativity in Motion at its flagship, with the participation of João Armentano and Sig Bergamin. At D&D, the brand is launching the Art All Around project with works by artist Lara Matana.
