The fourth edition of the Art Week in the City of Buenos Aires

For seven days, the city will offer different tours and artistic proposals simultaneously.

From August 27 to September 3, the fourth edition of the Art Week will take place in the City of Buenos Aires. For seven days, the city will offer different tours and artistic proposals simultaneously. Likewise, proposals such as Sach Estudios Abiertos, the BADA artists' fair and the ArteBA contemporary art fair will be taking place.

In this edition, eight new works will be presented in different parts of the city, an initiative to encourage the consumption of art not only in traditional spaces -such as a museum-, but also in the urban environment. In addition, there will be the Affair fair for the first time, which joins the International Biennial of Contemporary Art of the South and Pinta BAphoto, among other events that take place in the cultural calendar of the City.


The spaces that are added to the proposal

Guided tours will be offered to see the winning works on foot and specific guided tours will be added for children, for the elderly and others that have sign language. Among the spaces that join this initiative are Arthaus, Buenos Aires Museum (BAM), the Cultural Center of Spain in Buenos Aires (CCEBA), the Kirchner Cultural Center (CCK), the Recoleta Cultural Center (CCR), the Rojas Cultural Center, the Cultural San Martín, Museum of Modern Art of Buenos Aires, Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), among many others.

From the organization they reported: "Art Week proposes to rediscover the City in an innovative way through 8 works of public art, winners of a public, open and federal call, selected by a jury of specialists: Sebastián Vidal Mackinson -curator and researcher of contemporary art-; Verónica Gómez -visual artist winner of Art Week 2022-, and Juan Pablo Vacas, -architect and Undersecretary of Urban Landscape-".
