The Museum of Contemporary Art of Panama (MAC Panama) is proud to announce that it has been one of the 15 projects selected in the Fundación SURA 2024 Latin American Culture Call.

The initiative 'The collection has a woman's name' not only celebrates and highlights the talent of women artists, but also reinforces MAC Panama's commitment to gender equality and the promotion of Latin American art.

(Jul 19, 2023 – web) Panama.- The Museum of Contemporary Art of Panama (MAC Panamá) announced that it has been one of the 15 projects selected in the x. This prestigious recognition highlights artistic and cultural projects in Latin America, in a call that had more than 700 proposals.

The exhibition titled **»The collection has a woman's name»** is a collaboration between MAC Panama and the Museum of Modern Art of Medellín (MAMM). This collective exhibition aims to explore the visions and methodologies of women in artistic production, highlighting inequalities and the lesser presence of their works in museum collections. The exhibition seeks to offer a perspective of the shared history between female artists from Panama and Colombia, highlighting the similarities and connections between both countries.

The initiative “The collection has a woman's name” not only celebrates and highlights the talent of women artists, but also reinforces MAC Panama's commitment to gender equality and the promotion of Latin American art. This significant exhibition will be presented in Colombia starting in July 2024 and in Panama during the second half of 2025.
