Exhibition “Duc in altum!” (Go to deeper waters!) – For an ecological conscience features 40 works by neo-expressionist artist Alexandre Pinhel
Art and sustainability on board! With the atmosphere that emerges in Marina da Glória with the movement of ArtRio, the vessel Atlantis Grand, the largest catamaran yacht in Latin America and the second largest in the world, hosts the exhibition “Duc in altum!” (Go to deeper waters!) this Wednesday, September 13th, from 5pm to 10pm. 40 works by neo-expressionist artist Alexandre Pinhel will be exhibited, accompanied by a cocktail by renowned chef João Marcelo. The event at Marina da Glória is open to guests, who will be able to purchase works of art until Sunday, September 17th. Part of the proceeds will go to social works supported by the Archdiocesan Sanctuary of Christ the Redeemer.
Curated by Father Jefferson Merighetti, master in cultural assets from the Pontifical Gregorian University, in Rome, Italy, the works of art on display draw the attention of those who come on board to take a look at sustainability and the existential values of our times. In a search for ecological awareness, the artist proposes that the observer reflect on their behavior towards Nature. Always using waste and discarded materials as raw materials, art impresses with creative and aesthetic solutions.
