The top films in the Oscar race this year included Emilia Pérez, The Brutalist, Anora, Conclave and the Brazilian Still Here, starring Fernanda Torres. The film directed by Walter Salles (Central do Brasil) was nominated for Best Picture, Best International Film and Best Actress.
Still Here made history and gave Brazil its first ever Oscar. The film won Best International Film, while the main winner of the night was Anora, with five statuettes, including Best Picture, Best Director for Sean Baker and Best Actress for Mikey Madison. Baker broke an Oscar record by winning four awards for the same film, an unprecedented feat.

The Brutalist came in second place, taking home the awards for Best Actor for Adrien Brody, Best Original Score for Daniel Blumberg and Best Cinematography for Lol Crawley. Dune: Part 2, Wicked: Part One and Emilia Pérez won two awards each.
