After the addition of the two works, Gary Nader said that they add a great dimension to the Nader Sculpture Park MIAMI.- Two sculptures by the visual artist Oswaldo Vigas join the emblematic works that make up the Nader Sculpture Park. They are two pieces from the Gran Divinidad Lunar and Gran Centaura collections, both exhibited for the first time in 1995. In this way, the cultural offering of the park is further enriched, a space that already has more than 50 monumental sculptures by internationally renowned artists. "Gran Divinidad Lunar is an imposing bronze sculpture of 240 x 122 x 100 cm, whose asymmetrical monumentality radiates directional volumes of diverse meanings. For its part, Gran Centaura is also a large-scale work that reflects Vigas' mastery in the representation of mythical female figures," explains a press release.

Vigas was one of the great exponents of Venezuelan and Latin American art of the 20th century. The artist, who died in 2014, stood out for fusing elements of pre-Columbian and African heritage with trends of European modernism. In addition, his work, which includes painting, sculpture and tapestry, is characterized by the representation of mythical and archetypal figures, especially female, which reflect a deep connection with his cultural roots.

Nader Sculpture Park

After the incorporation of the two sculptures to the Nader Sculpture Park, its founder, Gary Nader, expressed his excitement about the achievement.

"Vigas' sculptures bring a unique dimension to our collection, connecting the ancestral with the contemporary and enriching the cultural dialogue that we promote at the Nader Sculpture Park."

Opened in December 2024, the Nader Sculpture Park has established itself as an open-air gallery that combines art, nature and community in the heart of the Miami Design District. In addition to displaying monumental sculptures, the park serves as a multifunctional space for cultural events, concerts and other activities, contributing significantly to Miami's artistic landscape.
