During the week of August 5-10, the Cedoc of the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes (MNBA) participated in various exchanges of experiences with peers, disseminating the actions carried out in the last year, in order to promote debate and collective reflection about art archives.
The first instance was the 1st National Laboratory of Art Archives, convened and organized by Redes y Enlaces de Arte Latinoamericano, which took place at the Palacio Pereira and the CEdA Foundation. The Cedoc MNBA Angélica Pérez Germain participated in the first round table, in Axis 1: “Care/custody policies”, presenting the case study of one of the collections that are currently being worked on and systematized, entitled: "Between the Museum and the artist: the interdisciplinary legacy of Alberto Pérez" (information at: Laboratorio Archivos de Arte)
The second instance was a presentation at the 5th International Conference on Museology and Museum Management, organized by the International Association for the Protection of Cultural Heritage, broadcast live via streaming. The Cedoc participated in round table 1: “History of museology”, with a presentation entitled: "Reflections of the past: the archives of the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes as a testimony of its historical, political and social development", by Susana Arias (MNBA), which highlights the discovery of unpublished documents in the Cedoc MNBA, providing invaluable testimony of the changes and evolution of the museum over the years.
