Havana, April 15 (RHC) Today marks World Art Day, established 12 years ago by the UN Office for Education, Science and Culture (UNESCO). Every April 15, art and even science pay tribute to one of the greatest creators who have ever existed: Leonardo Da Vinci.
The celebration was proposed by the International Association of Plastic Arts, it is celebrated with the objective of raising awareness of the importance of art and, above all, creative thinking, for the evolution of human reasoning, as well as for the resolution of problems. of these times.
On this day in 1452, one of the greatest artists of humanity was born in Anchiano, a municipality of Vinci, near Florence; painter, designer, poet and a long etcetera, that is why he is considered the man of the renaissance.
The importance of art is given by being one of the most evolved forms of human expression; Through it, man can externalize his personal vision of what ails him, interests him or seems beautiful to him through plastic, sound or linguistic resources.
Among the many advantages detected by science about the practice of art from an early age are the development of a sensitivity that allows the person to apply a very solid code of ethics.
It also helps increase concentration, allows the development of much more complex thought structures, and encourages individual and group creativity.
Art promotes tolerance, increases confidence and self-concept of the individual.
There are countless films about the world of art and cinema, including Frida, a biographical film about the life of the Mexican artist Frida Kahlo, played by Salma Hayek.
The film explores Kahlo's relationship with fellow artist Diego Rivera, as well as her fight against illness and her contribution to Mexican art.
The Invisible Thread is another film that highlights art in one of its most avant-garde expressions. It focuses on the life of a fashion designer in 1950s London.
Starring Daniel Day-Lewis, the film explores the creative process of fashion design and the designer's complex relationship with his muse.
Filmmakers have also been inspired by da Vinci, and from him we have inherited a complete art; about construction, he taught us about aviation, about the human body, also about architecture.
He was also an urban planner, botanist, paleontologist, philosopher, sculptor, musician, poet... and crazy? This last state was the only one that Da Vinci's genius did not approach, because until his last days he maintained his brilliant mind.
He is often described as an archetype and symbol of the Renaissance man, universal genius, whose infinite curiosity can only be matched by his inventive capacity.
The celebration of World Art Day in his honor measures the greatness of this artist, author of one of the most famous paintings in the world, La Gioconda or Mona Lisa. (Source:PL)
