The Ralli Museum in Marbella opens its doors with the inauguration of the interactive project “(i)realidades” and the exhibition “Memorias de la Tierra. Leónidas Gambartes”. An exhibition that addresses key issues such as memory, identity, territory and ritual.

Rosa Ruiz, director of the Museum, explains that we are celebrating, we have been here for 25 years and we have established ourselves as a museum that exhibits Latin American artists. This project goes hand in hand with this exhibition, she told our colleague Elena Castillejo.

During the year there will be workshops for children, young people, adults, tables, talks about Latin American art, how to spread it, visits with the mediation team, plays and there will even be concerts, said Rosa Ruiz.

We have come a long way and we have learned a lot from our visitors, we are already consolidated as the only museum to spread its collection of Latin American art, explained the director.
Many tourists visit Marbella and take advantage of the opportunity to visit the museum. More and more tourists come looking for culture and they leave very impressed. We also work for the local public and we have a lot of acceptance. We try to find Latin American collaborators. The exhibition is open to the public for free. There are five Ralli museums between Latin America and Europe. They are all free.

CURATOR

Silvia Sánchez, curator of the exhibition, said that the curatorship has been made with a lot of emphasis on education. It will not be limited to workshops, but we want all visitors to have participation. Devices that use artificial intelligence emerged as a tool. These devices are an attraction for the public.

The devices allow you to explore the exhibition freely, they have their process of browsing the artist's work and the content of the devices. The invitation is for you to learn but without realizing it, that it is interactive and fun, explained Silvia.

Gambartes' work is very broad and represents everyday works, seen through the prism of the avant-garde. Behind his apparently simple scenes is the tradition of the native Argentine peoples. We are seeing scenes that are a priori everyday, but they are revealing to us what is behind the culture of the peoples he represents.
