She is participating in the 5th Edition of the Latin American Art Award at La Rocca Paolina, in Perugia, Italy. The contest began on July 24 and will run until August 13.
The international exhibition is made up of important countries such as Brazil, Colombia, Peru, Chile, Ecuador, Costa Rica, Uruguay, Venezuela, Peru, Panama, Bolivia, Mexico, Spain and the United States.
“This exhibition promotes the cultural exchange of countries and the dissemination of works, receiving important training in different art disciplines. I am happy to have obtained recognition as a cultural ambassador and to represent San Luis,” said Celi.
The artist was chosen to participate in the contest through an online vote. She was selected by the jury of the 5th Edition of the Latin American Art Award.
Mirta Haydeé Celi was born in the capital of San Luis. Her foray into painting began at the ‘Juan A. Rodríguez’ Free Expression Workshop. In her passion for art, she has experimented with different techniques and movements, such as abstraction, realism and expressionism.
She began her creative process by approaching reality, perception, feelings and experiences. She completed the Visual Arts Technical Degree at the ‘Nicolás Antonio de San Luis’ Secondary School of Art No. 2.
She has participated in numerous annual and collective exhibitions: ‘Agosto’ – Espacio Cultural Terrazas del Portezuelo (2015); ‘Vórtice’ (2017), ‘Núcleo’ (2018), ‘Carrusel’ (2019), International Collective Exhibition ‘Mi Mejor Obra’ – Centro Cultural Puente Blanco; ‘Sala Isabel Ezcurra’ (2019), ‘La Noche de las Artes 1 y 2’ – Casa de las Culturas (2019); ‘Periódico’, in honor of the 150th anniversary of the publication of the ‘Periodic Table’; ‘Evolutiva’ and ‘Como dicen las Mujeres’ – National University of San Luis.
She has also exhibited at: Sala Multiusos de La Joaquina Open Mall (2013); San Luis Shopping Center (2012); Espacio de Arte Leche (2018); ‘Paisajes Serranos’ at La Casa de San Luis in Buenos Aires; Salón ‘Mujeres Puntanas’ of the Municipality of San Luis and in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Salón Arte San Luis, in Potrero de Los Funes. She also participated in painting competitions, obtaining 1st Mention as a Puntana Artist in the National and International Painting Competition ‘PotreArt’ (2018) and in the Landscape Painters Competition of Merlo (2024).
She is currently a member of the ‘Club Super Arte San Luis’ Foundation and founder of AVASL (Visual Artists Grouped from San Luis). She participates in personal and collective work in and for art.
