Visual arts exhibition marks anniversary of diplomatic relations between Brazil and Iran and takes place in the beautiful port city of sanfranciscodosol.
In commemoration of the 120th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Iran and Brazil, São Francisco do Sul will host the visual arts exhibition 'A Portrait of Iran' with a film show, photography and an exhibition of Persian rugs.
A ceremony on the 30th, at 3 pm, at the Terminal, will open the special program in which Mayor Godofredo Gomes Moreira Filho will receive the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Brazil, Hossein Gharibi. The exhibition intends to obtain a portrait of Iran, revealing its history, culture and identity.
The exhibition brings the tradition of Islamic-Iranian art and architecture, with its meticulous details and vibrant color palette, which continues to influence contemporary artists, who often find innovative ways to incorporate traditional elements into their works.
A Portrait of Iran allows capturing the dimensions of societies, revealing both tradition and modernity, in which many artists portray the beauty of Iranian landscapes, highlighting the connection of the Iranian people with the past and present.
The exhibition will be available for visitation until September 30, from Tuesday to Sunday, from 10 am to 4 pm, at the Naval Tourist Terminal, located at Rua Babitonga, nº 62, Historic Center. Entry is free.
