Last days to register for the largest photography festival in Latin America
Professional and amateur photographers have just a few days to register for the largest photography festival in Latin America, Brasília Photo Show 2024. Interested parties can register their photos in categories that include themes such as nature, pets, agribusiness, architecture, sports, documentaries, artificial intelligence, portraits, gastronomy, among others. Registration closes on November 3rd, on the festival's official website: www.brasiliaphotoshow.com.br

There will be more than R$60 thousand in prizes, such as cell phones, digital cameras, drones, courses, and shopping vouchers. In addition, those who register may also have their photo chosen and incorporated into the permanent collection of the Brasília Art Museum (MAB). This happened last year with the work “Colors of Chaos” by photographer Marcelo Moryan from Espírito Santo, who has been participating in the BPS since 2018. With over 15 awards under his belt, his photo was chosen in 2023, among the 400 finalists, and has since been part of the MAB permanent collection.

“Having my photo chosen had a huge impact on my professional life and opened many doors. I am very grateful to the festival. Last year I had this incredible moment of seeing my photo chosen and included in the MAB collection. Look at the relevance this brought to me and could also bring to everyone who is registering this year,” said Moryan.

Brasília Art Museum (MAB)

The Brasília Art Museum (MAB) is responsible for physically exhibiting the 400 finalist photos of the 2024 edition and will exhibit, in electronic format, more than 1,200 semifinalist photos from 2024. Therefore, the BPS will select a photo from among the winners to be included in the Museum's permanent collection. "This could be a unique opportunity to have your photo exhibited and see your work recognized and immortalized in one of the country's main museums," said the festival's organizer, Rodrigo Nimer. The winners will be awarded medals, statuettes and special prizes, such as having their photo featured on the cover of the BPS's official book.

Cost: photographers who submit up to 2 (two) photos are exempt from paying the registration fee, and from the third photo submitted onwards, there is a charge of R$25 per image.
