Between this Tuesday, October 24 and Saturday, October 28, “REC”, the Latin American Audiovisual Arts Festival of Public Universities, will take place in La Plata. Admission will be free.

The new edition celebrates thirty years since the reopening of the Cinematography degree at the Faculty of Art of the National University of La Plata.

In 1955, in the former Higher School of Fine Arts, the Department of Cinematography and the first Cinematography degree in Latin America were created, which was declared extinct by the last military dictatorship.

The Festival's programming will feature competitions in various categories, samples of audiovisual work, live sessions and installations, as well as the 6th LaBaf, a space for exchange, training, development and production for students.

At the Municipal Select Cinema, from Tuesday the 24th to Thursday the 27th, the short film competition will be held, as well as screenings and various activities.
