#8M#SomosPalestina Posters supporting Palestinian women. March 8 is International Women's Struggle Day. In this year, 2024, we recover the internationalist meaning of this date to express the struggle of women for the end of the ongoing genocide in Palestine. Every year, for more than a century, we have mobilized on that day to advance in the streets, networks and fields the feminist struggle for the construction of a new world without racism, patriarchy, poverty, hunger, wars and colonialism. All over the world, women are building with many hands the concrete alternatives for the construction of that world of peace that we want, without violence, with food sovereignty and an economy focused on the sustainability of life.
The freedom of women is only possible with the self-determination of people. Until Palestine is free, no woman will be truly free.
On this March 8, 2024, we join the voices of women and gender dissidents from around the planet who unite in solidarity with the Palestinian people. Capire, together with ALBA Movimentos, the International People's Assembly (AIP) and the Utopix collective, held an international call for posters in solidarity with Palestinian women. This gallery is the result of this call, which shows how art is capable of strengthening solidarity and internationalist alliances.
