The largest open-air urban art gallery in Latin America

Cores da Brasil, the largest open-air urban art gallery in Latin America, starts graffiti on the facade of the Deodoro Terminal
The viaducts of Parque União, Av. Lobo Júnior and Cidade Alta, in addition to Fiocruz Station in Maré will also receive colorful interventions
The graffiti, which already appears in Porto Maravilha, will reach the BRT Transbrasil corridor. Along the 26 km length, viaducts, terminals and walkways will receive new colors, shapes and meanings inspired by the works of Profeta Gentileza in the Cores da Brasil project. This Friday (01/12), graffiti will begin on the facade of the Deodoro Terminal. On 12/04 it is the turn of the Parque União viaduct and, on 12/07, the Fiocruz station in Maré, the Av. Lobo Júnior viaduct and the viaduct, the station and the Cidade Alta footbridge will begin to receive colors.
A total of 30 artists are involved in the graffiti at the Deodoro Terminal, including Rodrigo Grau, Cynthia Aith, Fael Tujaviu, Pedro Raz and Igor Izy.

“Graffiti, urban art has a suburban feel. Using this art to bring colors and hope to the city and especially to the north zone is the main objective of this project”, says the deputy mayor of the North Zone, Diego Vaz.
For the project, artists living in the places where Transbrasil will pass were mapped. In total, 26 neighborhoods will be covered with works by various artists. The interventions will be carried out in three terminals, 30 viaducts, 300 pillars and 18 stations with walkways. The kickoff was at the Gentileza Intermodal Terminal, in a 450-meter wall by artist Lucas Cassarotti.
