Urban Captures: graffiti and photography exhibition at the Central University of Venezuela

Photography and spray paint become powerful tools to narrate the joys and challenges of those who inhabit this urban environment. The exhibition, curated by Daniel Hernández, will open on February 7

Under the museographic direction of Carlos Roig and the curatorial assistance of Daniel Hernández, the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism of the Central University of Venezuela (UCV) invites students and the general public to the exhibition Urban Captures.

The exhibition is made up of 27 photographs and 3 graffiti by 10 artists, including Hugo Pahd Carrasco, Le Capsu, Dial, Trina Pineda, Maxwell Briceño, Longart, Ronald Peña, Iván Reyes and Abraham Correa.

Starting on Friday, February 7th, at 4:00 pm, in the sector room located on the ground floor of the Faculty, attendees will be able to enter a city seen through their eyes. Photography and spray paint become powerful tools to narrate the joys and challenges of those who inhabit this urban environment, offering an authentic look at everyday experiences. They will also be able to enjoy the creation of a mural that will accompany the exhibition

On the other hand, the meeting is a good opportunity for students of the VIII Cohort of the Museology Specialization to present the result of the evaluation project throughout the semester. This occasion is opportune to demonstrate the academic level in terms of their museographic capabilities, leading the development of the assembly, design, logistics and production.

The organizing team reiterates the invitation to immerse yourself in Urban Captures, an exhibition that not only shows images, but also encourages reflection on one's own relationship with the city. Each work is a piece of the urban puzzle waiting to be discovered.
