A charity evening at the Royal Collections Gallery to honour art patrons
On the evening of March 2, while many were waiting to see the lavish Oscars, an event of utmost importance for the culture of our country was being held. In a privileged setting such as the Royal Collections Gallery in Madrid, the Callia Foundation offered a charity dinner prior to the ceremony of the International Patronage Awards presented by Queen Sofia.

These awards represent "a declaration of love to our patrons, who through their commitment to art contribute to building a more sensitive and humane society, and therefore, more fraternal," in the words of the president of the Callia Foundation, Carmen Reviriego. During the evening, several works by young Latin American artists were auctioned off, in order to raise funds for the Conservation and Restoration Program of the Collection of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando.

The menu served to the guests, among whom were Pedro J. Ramírez and Cruz Sánchez de Lara, president and executive vice president of EL ESPAÑOL respectively, was prepared by the prestigious chef Ramón Freixa, two Michelin stars. Xandra Falcó's wine was also served, a rosé named XF, produced by the Sierra de Cantabria winery. The businesswoman and Marchioness of Mirabel, of course, did not miss the event.

This is the tenth edition of the International Patronage Awards, which in 2025 have been awarded to the president of the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires, Eduardo Costantini, for his work in the dissemination and promotion of Latin American art; the organizer of such important auctions as the amfAR gala, Simon de Pury, for his contribution to contemporary art and his work as a patron; and the Pollock-Krasner Foundation, recognized for its support of artists active in the international arena.
