Since she was a child, Allicia di Mares has had an interest in the arts. She paints pictures and draws with the same intensity with which she ventured into tapestry, porcelain painting, ceramics, mosaics and papier-mâché works.
In her works, Allicia uses acrylic paint, pencil, watercolor, brush and spatula. Her painting expresses the counterpoint of soft and strong colors that exercise the lightness of the brush and the strength of the spatula. Fantasy is the key word for her artistic universe, it opens doors to the imagination in a profusion of colors that reach the threshold of figuration and total abstraction. Intuition and reason guide her simultaneously, through varied themes that sometimes overlap, creating a particular universe.
Since 2009, her works have been present in art halls and group exhibitions, awarded with medals, highlights and honorable mentions. She has works published in magazines, books and various catalogs.
