Display of movie posters during French Culture Month in Cuba

The Yelín room, of the House of the International Festival of New Latin American Cinema, in Havana, will host an exhibition of posters, as part of the activities of the French Culture Month in Cuba.

The exhibition includes 30 works made by Cuban designers to accompany French films or in co-production with that country.

In its eighth edition, the event until May 31 is dedicated to the relationship between arts, culture and sports; and will also include concerts, recitals and conferences.

Curated by the prominent Cuban visual artist Arístides Hernández (Ares), the exhibition “Paris, mon humour” and the special concert by the Cuban singer Ivette Cepeda, on May 10, marked the inauguration of the celebrations.

The exhibition features 35 creations by caricaturists and designers around sport and Olympicism, saluting the celebration of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

The Cuban capital is the main base for this event, but the activities will also extend to venues in the eastern province of Santiago de Cuba.

In tune with the Olympic air that surrounds Paris these days, the organizers of the event in Cuba announced that French athletes, writers and artists who agreed to exchange and collaborate with Cuban creators will participate.
