Work by José d’Almeida on display at the Geodesy Museum

The painting by José D’Almeida entitled “Elétrico 15” (The last journey…the last passenger) is on display at the Geodesy Museum, kindly provided by the author’s sister. The painting was previously on display at the Anadia Museum in an exhibition dedicated to the photographer with the title “O Poeta da Luz”.

José d’ Almeida was born in 1965, in Lisbon, having passed away in 2022. He was known as the Genius artist of the seven trades, he studied design and graphic arts at the António Arroio School. He was a self-taught painter and photographer, and since 2001 he has exhibited his works around the world. His passion led him to win the bronze medal in the Illustration category, in 2017, at the World Photographic Cup. His art was fragmented into several other arts such as contemporary and conceptual art, in which he explored the human emotions with the body, mostly, as a central element.
