For the first time, Macla exhibits works from its heritage collection outside the city.
In the city of Mar del Plata, the “Expanded Geometry” exhibition was inaugurated by the Commune and the Cultural Institute of the province of Buenos Aires last weekend, made up of works from the city's Museum of Contemporary Latin American Art (Macla).
The event constitutes a historic event given that, for the first time since its creation in 1999, the Macla exhibits works from its heritage collection outside the city. The proposal took place at the MAR Provincial Museum of Contemporary Art, located on Félix U. Camet y López de Gomara avenue.
For those who wish to come closer, the exhibition can be visited from Tuesday to Sunday from 2 to 8 p.m. The selected works exhibit some of the main trends in geometric art and allow you to appreciate its different variants through renowned plastic artists.
It is worth noting that the paintings exhibited in “La Feliz” were created by Antonio Asís, Carmelo Arden Quin, Jean Branchet, Carlos Cáceres Sobrea, Severio Cecere, Janos Fajó, Reale F. Frangi, Octavio Herrera, Eduardo Jonquieres, Gino Luggi, Juan Melé, Giusseppe Minoretti, Mitsouko Mori, Antonio Perrottelli, Rogelio Polesello, Janos Saxon-Szász, André Sempfei, Luis Tomassello, Dominique Trelat, Marta Pilone, Juan D´Lala, Alejandro Gigli, Gabriela Böer, Verónica Di Toro and Hugo Demarco. On the other hand, it is worth remembering that the Macla is located within the Pasaje Dardo Rocha Cultural Center, on Calle 50 between 6 and 7, and has a significant number of large collections of renowned international plastic artists, where it offers the possibility of participating in visits guided.
