In February, the Oscar Niemeyer Museum (MON) invites the public to a workshop on building sculptures and assembling with clay, led by artist Elvo Benito Damo. The activity will take place on the 21st, at 2:30 pm, and will last 2.5 hours.
The workshop does not require prior knowledge of art. To participate, you must purchase a conventional ticket to access the Museum, at the physical box office or on the website. In addition, you must register in advance at the link below: bit.ly/OficinaElvoDamoMON-fev2025
About the artist
Elvo Benito Damo (Caçador/SC, 1948) is a visual artist, sculptor, designer and restorer. He graduated in Painting from EMBAP and did an internship with Francisco Stockinger. He is the director of the Free Sculpture Studio of the Curitiba Cultural Foundation, and has participated and received awards several times in the country's main official art exhibitions, representing Brazil in several international exhibitions. His works are in public spaces and in several Brazilian museums, such as: MASP, MuMA (PR); Joinville Art Museum (SC), National Museum of Fine Arts (RJ), MAC (PR), Santa Catarina Art Museum, Oscar Niemeyer Museum, among others.
ABOUT MON
The Oscar Niemeyer Museum (MON) is a state heritage site linked to the State Secretariat of Culture. The institution houses important references in national and international artistic production in the areas of visual arts, architecture and design, as well as large Asian and African collections. In total, the collection has approximately 14 thousand works of art, housed in a space exceeding 35 thousand square meters of built area, which makes MON the largest art museum in Latin America.
