18th International Caricature and Cartoon Contest of Vianden

1. Theme:

News (media, social media, fake news, etc.)

2. Deadline:

April 6, 2025

3. Prizes:

• 1st Prize: €1500

• 2nd Prize: €1000

• 3rd Prize: €500

• 3 Honorable Mentions

4. Entries:

• Each participant may submit up to four artworks in digital format.

• Submissions must be sent via email to cartoon@caricature.eu and should include the following details:

• First name

• Surname

• Complete address

• Email address

• Phone number

• Number of each artwork

Technical Specifications:

• Format: JPEG

• Resolution: 300 DPI

• Maximum file size: 1.5 MB per image

Out of all submissions, 80-120 artworks will be selected for the exhibition and catalogue. Only award-winning artists will be required to send the original artworks by post.

Original Artwork Size:

• Minimum: A4 (210 × 297 mm)

• Maximum: A3 (297 × 420 mm)

5. Medium:

• Open to all techniques (black & white or color).

• No subtitles or text in the artworks.

6. Prizes and Exhibition:

• The winners and honorable mentions will be announced on April 26, 2025, at Vianden Castle.

• The exhibition will be held at the Hall Jemmy Koltz in Vianden Castle from April 26 to May 25, 2025.

• Selected artworks may also be exhibited at the Museum of Caricature and Cartoon of Vianden and in other locations in Luxembourg or internationally.

7. Catalogue:

Artists whose works are selected for the exhibition will receive a free catalogue (by mail or in PDF format).

8. Results:

• The contest results will be published on www.caricature.eu on April 27, 2025.

• Winners will be personally notified via email or phone.

• The jury’s decisions are final and cannot be appealed.

9. Copyright:

By participating in the contest, artists grant the organizers the right to use selected works for promotional materials, catalogues, and exhibitions.

Award-winning artworks become the property of the organizers and may not be submitted to other contests or published elsewhere after the results are announced.
