Emad Hajjaj is a caricaturist born in the West Bank, Jordan in 1967. He graduated from Yarmouk University in 1991 with a degree in Graphic Design and a minor in journalism. After graduating, he worked for several local and regional newspapers in Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Saudi Arabia. He worked as a designer, creative director, computer illustrator, animation creator and copywriter in many local Jordanian advertising agencies. He has been a member of the Jordan Press Association since 1999 and is vice president of the Jordanian Cartoonists Association. He held two exhibitions at Amman City Hall in 1999 and 2008. He also held a cartoon exhibition at the American University of Beirut in May 2003 and at the Jordan Social Club in Dubai in November 2003. He is also the author of “Al Mahjoob”, vol. I and vol. II, a cartoon Albums released in 1999 and 2008. He won different awards: First place as best cartoonist and the “Al Hussein” Journalist Creativity Award, JPA 2001, the 2006 Arab Press award from the “Dubai Press Club” (DPC) and Best Cartoon Published in Arab Media in 2005. .
