Independent photojournalist working for Brazilian and international media since 2007. Staff photographer from Istoé one of the largest magazine in Brazil from April 2010 to September 2016. In 2016 he launched his three-year documental project “Sou Farofa” which was published in magazines and websites around the world, such as El País, Marie Claire France, Burn, Der Spiegel, The Atlantic, The New York Times Lens Blog, Photo Pro Germany. In 2016 spent six months in Iraq photographing the conflict against the Islamic State. His work there was published in several outlets such as Al Jazeera, La Croix and Le Point (France), Serafina Magazine, Época and Folha de S. Paulo. The essay “Dreams”, also produced during his period in Iraq, was displayed at “Na Linha de Frente”, an exhibition of Brazilian war photographers in Fortaleza’s Museu da Fotografia and is part of the museum’s collection.
