Pavel Matuska was born in 1944 in Trebechovicep, Orebem, Czech Republic. In 1962 he graduated from the Rychnov Kneznou High School of Mechanical Engineering. He started working in 1967 as a promotional artist at “Fotochema Hradec Kralove” and gradually collaborated with other companies. Between 1976 and 1979 he graduated from the six-semester study of theory and practice of periodical graphics at the Faculty of Journalism of Karlova University in Prague. In 1984 Pavel Matuska became a freelance artist in the field of advertising graphics. Illustration and graphic humor. In the past he published cartoons of him in local newspapers and magazines and also illustrated various books. His drawings have been published over the years in the famous Swiss comic magazine “Nebelspalter”. Pavel Matuska's works are represented in the collections of the organizers of numerous international cartoon competitions and festivals around the world, where he has won numerous awards.
