Zygmunt Zaradkiewicz was born in 1951 in Ivlakow Mazowiecki, Poland. He graduated from the Faculty of Graphic Arts of the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts in 1976. He debuted in the magazines "Polska" and 7, Szpilkir in 1972. Currently, he is dedicated to making book illustrations, cartoons, prints, posters, paintings and set designs. He is also the author of posters for films and various events: scenery and costumes for the Adekwatny Theater in Warsaw. His works have been published in Polish magazines and press, for example: “Itd", “Karuzela", “Kobieta i Zycie", “Magazyn Rodzinny", “Radar", “Razem", “Rzeczpospolita", “Sukces" (director artistic 1998-2000), “Szpilki", “Sztandar Mlodych", “Zycie Warszawy", as well as abroad: “Pardon" and “Slapstick" (Germany). He has collaborated with the publishers: “Bertelsmann”, “Czytelnik: Iskry”, “KAW”, “MAW”, “MON”, “Murator” (art director —1996-1998) and “Nasza Ksiegarnia”. He has been part of juries for national and international cartoon competitions. He was the organizer of international competitions: "The Ball is at Play", "Big and Little Warsaw", as well as the national "Cartoon of the Month" and "Cartoon of the Year" competitions. From 2011 to 2014 he was Director of the Museum of Caricature and Cartoon Art (MCCA) in Warsaw. His artworks have received numerous awards at home and abroad.
