He was born on March 22, 1983 in Guarne, Colombia, but currently lives and works in Antioquia. He is an artist, cartoonist, art teacher, and art historian. He has a Bachelor's and Master's of Arts from the National University of Colombia, a Master's in Art History and a Diploma in Art Criticism from the University of Antioquia where he also teaches. He is recognized as one of the valued members of the last generation of Latin American cartoonists and artists. He has won more than 40 international awards in different countries of the world such as Colombia, Iran, Turkey, Italy, Argentina, Mexico, China and Macedonia, etc.). He was recognized in the 2013 World Press Cartoon Portugal Outstanding Award. Cartoons of him have been selected in numerous competitions and exhibitions around the world. In addition, he had two retrospective exhibitions of comics in Mexico at the "Museo de la Sociedad Mexicana de Dibujantes" and at the "Centro Cultural Fontanarrosa Roberto Rosario" in Argentina. He is the winner of the “Estímulo talento creativo” scholarship from Antioquia, Colombia in 2014. He currently publishes his works in the newspapers “El Espectador” and “El Colombiano”, the magazine “Fenamizah” in Turkey and “Catrasca” in Argentina. His drawings have been included in many catalogues, magazines and websites around the world.
