Eduardo Baptistao was born in São Paulo in 1966. He graduated in Publishing and Advertising from the Casper Libero University in 1988. He has been working as an illustrator in the publishing market since 1985 when he published his first work in the newspaper “Folha De São Paulo”. He has collaborated with magazines such as “Veja”, “Jornal da Tarde”, “Época Negócios”, “Imprensa”, “Vogue”, “Quem”, “Veja”, “Placar”, “Você S / A” among others. He has been an illustrator for the newspaper “O Estado de S. Paulo” since 1991 and a contributor to the magazine “Carta Capital” since 1995. He is the winner of the “HQMix” trophy five times as the best Brazilian cartoonist. He won other important prizes in Brazil, such as the Piracicaba International Humor Contest and the Carioca Humor Contest) and abroad he won the “World Press Cartoon” from Portugal and the “Tehran International Bienal de Historieta” from Iran, where he was later also awarded. part of the jury.
