Starting with painting and drawing Thomas Junghans ( 1956 Germany ) slowly grew into three dimension work in wood and bronze occasionally stone, at the age of 20. Significant works that are characteristic for Junghans’ oeuvre are the ‘ portraits ’ and the so called ‘ Suites ‘ ; amassed figures made of abstract forms, often with a figurative touch in origin or detail. Both themes with a remarkable balance between peaceful calmness and strong expression in form and temper. Junghans and his wife Siiri Spronken live and work in the Netherlands.
