Lubomir Kotrha was born on April 5, 1950 in Trencin, Slovakia. He studied at the Higher Technical School of Construction in Trencin, where he graduated in 1969. He continued his studies at the Faculty of Architecture of the Slovak Technical University in Bratislava, but abandoned his studies before finishing the first semester, and since then he has worked as an artist. independent. He published the first cartoon of him in 1967 and since then tens of thousands of his drawings have appeared in more than 100 different newspapers and magazines at home and abroad. He exhibited his artwork in numerous solo and group exhibitions in many countries around the world. He published his own cartoon book "XY Diagnosis" and illustrated about 20 books and calendars (last Golden Book of Slovak Humor). He also created posters and animated films. Lubomir Kotrha's works received numerous prestigious awards (more than 100) and recognition in international cartoon competitions in many countries around the world.
