Victor Moriyama is a Brazilian documentary photographer and photojournalist, born in 1984 . He is known for his compelling work on public security, violence, Indigenous communities, environmental conflicts, and Amazon forest deforestation . His photographs have been featured in prestigious publications such as The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, National Geographic, and The Guardian In 2019, Moriyama founded the @historiasamazonicas project, a collaborative platform of Latin American photographers working to document and raise awareness about the Amazon rainforest .
